Clasado’s Bimuno GOS prebiotic now distributed by Tecom Ingredients in Spain, Portugal

Clasado Biosciences (Berkshire, UK) announced a new distribution deal for its Bimuno GOS galactooligosaccharide prebiotic dietary fiber ingredient. European health and nutrition ingredient distributor Tecom Ingredients (Barcelona, Spain) will distribute Bimuno GOS in Spain and Portugal.

According to Frederic Narbel, vice president of B2B sales at Clasado, in a press release, “The global market for prebiotics is projected to see a very robust 11.5% compound annual growth rate according to research firm Facts & Factors, and Europe looks set to be a huge area of potential growth. Consumers are getting to grips with gut health and are understanding that supporting the gut microbiome is essential to their health and well-being. Prebiotics, such as our own, make it easy for formulators to meet the rising consumer demand for better gut health.”

Bimuno GOS is backed by more than 20 clinical trials and has shown benefits for gastrointestinal, digestive, immune, and cognitive health, Clasado says. It can be used in nutritional supplements, functional foods, and sports nutrition products.
