GOED, Amin Talati Wasserman to present webcast on omega-3 litigation risks

The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (Salt Lake City, UT) and law firm Amin Talati Wasserman will host a webcast next month titled “Omega-3 Litigation Risks, Trends, and Strategies.” The webcast will be held on June 8, 2023, at 1:00 PM EDT.

“The presentation will focus on current legal challenges faced by the omega-3 industry in the U.S., from consumer class actions to Proposition 65 trends. Speakers include Matthew Orr and William Cole, veteran industry litigators with extensive experience in consumer class actions and other legal issues affecting the food, beverage, dietary supplement, and cosmetic industries,” GOED’s press release states.

The speakers will also focus on “a recent spike in demand letters on producers and marketers in the omega-3 space,” it adds. They will cover how to interpret these letters, as well as how to identify potential risks and choose the right mitigation tactics. “Attendees will learn what to do if they receive a demand letter, assessing its risk in the context of a typical consumer class action lawsuit,” the press release states.
