Stefan M. Pasiakos, PhD, FACSM has been selected to be director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Dietary Supplements. He will begin in his new role on July 16, 2023.
In the study, conducted by Radicle Science, in partnership with Open Book Extracts, 1793 adults experiencing symptoms of sleep disturbance were randomly assigned to receive a four-week supply of either 15 mg of cannabidiol (CBD) or 5 mg of melatonin, alone or in combination with other cannabinoids.
Results showed that the pomegranate fruit extract, called Pomanox, exerted significantly higher inhibition of IL-8 compared to controls.
